Ken & Sheryl’s Member Story

We love to travel and be active with friends and family.

When we do those things we notice we’re no longer 50. And that the real world is not ADA-compliant! If you want to travel and tour around to experience new things you have to walk on uneven gravel paths, up and down stairs, step over broken concrete sidewalks, and so on.

What’s happened is we’ve decided that as we head into our 80’s we want to continue to do all those things. We knew we needed some help. A friend told us about Whole Body Fitness and we found they have exactly what we want. Flexibility, balance, increasing some endurance, and doing body core strengthening to help us keep going and doing what we want to do. Our trainer is key to helping us do the right exercises with the right form and at the right pace.

Working with our trainer at Whole Body Fitness has improved our day-to-day lives too. We’ve maintained really good stamina as we’ve aged. Sheryl’s shoulders and upper arms don’t hurt anymore and we both have a lot more flexibility and energy.

It’s not intimidating at all. Everybody who comes here comes for their own reasons. It isn’t competitive. You can proceed at your own rate and it’s just a very friendly and supportive place. We’ve discovered that Whole Body not only helps us physically it’s also a wonderful way to socialize with the great people here and that’s good for us too. We love coming here! And, for going on 80 years old, it’s a perfect place for us.
