Ronda’s Member Story

I’ve been a member of Whole Body Fitness since 2014.

I first came here because I had a number of health issues and was on lots of medication that led to a 25-pound weight gain. But just losing weight wasn’t my goal. I came here to get healthy.

I chose Whole Body Fitness because I wanted a personal trainer that could focus on me, my specific needs, and my goals. And because they’ve been in business here in Chico for a long time and have a good reputation.

My trainer pushes me but at my own pace. He knows exactly what exercises I need to do and makes sure my form is just right. As I’m getting older the training is even more important to me. I want to keep active, limber, flexible, and do all sorts of things without hurting myself.

I like that I can get private or semi-private training where I can work out with three or four other people. We each get our own individualized program but we get to work out together which makes working out so much more fun

The Whole Body Fitness model holds me accountable and I really like that structure. I like that I should tell someone if I’m not coming and feel like it needs to be a good excuse! Not only tell my trainer, but the other people I work out with at the same time. They will be concerned if I don’t show up. They’ll call me to find out if I’m okay, tell me they missed me.

That gives me extra motivation to be here. I like working out with my small group, the social aspect is very important to me. It really adds to the whole experience. I’ve made some great friends here and it just makes me want to keep coming back. I feel strong, energetic, and healthy. I’ve been able to ditch the medications that caused me so many problems and have maintained my ideal weight and conditioning for years. This is a program that works. For life.
