Efren Rodriguez: Trainer
After graduating from CSU, Chico in Fall 2016, Efren joined the Whole Body Fitness team. Efren graduated with a degree in exercise physiology, but his passion for health and fitness began well before college.
Efren started wrestling in 6th grade and followed that passion throughout high school where he was a 2x California state qualifier. After graduating from Chico High in 2011, Efren wrestled for Sacramento City College for one year where he was an All-Conference team member. During his second year of college, he continued to wrestle at the NAIA level for Simpson University in Redding, CA. Efren knew that strength and conditioning was paramount to becoming a successful athlete in high school and college, and that was when his passion for the field of fitness erupted.
After his second year of college, Efren decided to go back home to Chico, and from 2014-2016 he pursued his degree at Chico State where he made sure to stay in shape by having access to the WREC while he was a student. During that period, Efren helped out with coaching at Chico Junior High School, and since 2016 he has made the transition to coach wrestling at the high school level at Chico High with the same influential coaches that made a significant impact in his life while he was there.
Since his life has been impacted in a positive way by sports and fitness, he feels more than fortunate to say that now he can help impact clients’ lives by aiding them in their nutrition and fitness goals, which the entire Whole Body staff does an impeccable job in doing so.
During his free time, Efren enjoys traveling, being with close friends and family, being outdoors, and most of all… drinking coffee!
